Private player

A private theater for the videos you keep to yourself.

Lock them with a PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID. They stay on the device and are not uploaded to a public cloud.

Before you lend it

Built for the moment you lend your phone

Import the videos, lock the app, and leave the files on the device.

Separate

Separate space

After you import a video, it enters GPlay’s own space. By default it stays apart from the system photo library and from public areas.

Lock

A second lock

Opening GPlay asks for your PIN, and for Face ID or Touch ID. Leaving the app locks it again. Coming back asks you to unlock once more.

On device

On this device

Files stay on the device and are not uploaded to a public cloud by default. Wi-Fi import only receives files on the local network. It does not replace a backup you make yourself.

Playback

Playback stays here

After import, you play the file in GPlay. Playback does not hand it to another sharing path.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi import

On the same local network, a local service receives the file. The transfer checks the session and the file size before it finishes.

Library

Albums, tags, and history

You can make albums, add tags, and look back through playback history.

Three steps

Lock it before the phone leaves your hand

You do not need to learn cryptography. Import, lock, then lend.

01

Import

Bring a video in from the system photo library, or over Wi-Fi on the local network, into GPlay’s own space. The import checks the session and the file boundary.

02

Lock

Set a PIN, and turn on Face ID or Touch ID. Leaving the app locks it again. Entering again asks you to verify.

03

Lend

When you hand the phone to someone else, they only see what you left in the open. Videos inside GPlay stay locked until you unlock them.

GPlay does not analyze your media, and it does not upload that media to a public cloud by default. Use stays on the device. A system backup, a manual export, or another cloud service still follows that account's backup settings.

On your devices

The vault

Your private library

Videos and audio live in their own space. Play them, sort them, and check the lock before you lend the phone.

Video

Put the videos you do not want someone to open by accident into this space.

Audio

Audio

Audio stays in the same library as video. You unlock it when you want it.

Questions

Questions

Is the hidden album on the phone enough?

No. Photos and videos there can still show up in Recents, in search, or from a stray tap. GPlay puts private videos in a separate space. You pass a PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID before you enter.

Not by default. They stay on the device. GPlay does not upload them to a public cloud or sync them to a shared photo library. What the system itself backs up still follows the backup settings on that device’s account.

On iOS and iPadOS, with a PIN and with Face ID or Touch ID. Mac and Windows desktop entry, and the unlock options there, depend on the release notes. Lock it before you hand the phone to someone else.

Import the videos you want protected and turn on the PIN and Face ID. Someone borrowing the phone only sees what you left outside GPlay.

No. They live only inside the app. Back them up yourself before you delete it. After you uninstall, nobody can restore them from GPlay.
